KJ Clarke Davis in Residency with Imaginate & Project X

We are delighted to be partnering with Imaginate to support dance artist KJ Clarke Davis to explore a new performance idea for babies.  KJ will spend nine days in February 2025 at the THREE60 dance studio researching development in babies and children in a more theoretical way and playing in the rehearsal room with Erin Ponsonby, a country-pop singer-songwriter from Clydebank and dance artist Margaret Stevens.

KJ will receive mentoring from Hayley Earlam (Imaginate at Scottish Dance Theatre artist in February 2024) with artistic and producing support from Imaginate and Project X.

KJ is a freelance dance artist originally from London but now based in Glasgow. He trained at Middlesex University, and has worked with various companies including Barrowland Ballet, Project X Dance, Paraorchestra and Friends, Curious Seed Dance and Oceanallover.

He is passionate about performing and intrigued by improvisation, and more he has been developing a keen interest in dance and neuro diversity. KJ has a 'condition' called Aphantasia, which can best be described as image free thinking, he is hoping to develop ways to make dance even more accessible and inclusive for people who process information in non-typical ways.
